In an effort to improve the performance of wooden yo-yos, Tom Kuhn has designed the RD1. It is handcrafted with a laminated wood finish which gives a very unique wooden feel.
This yo-yo comes with a stainless steel ball bearing and metal axle connecting the two halves. It also has a concave profile with a butterfly shape making it easier to learn string tricks with.
On the edges of each half there are metal weight rims which add extra weight on the edges which give the yo-yo better balance and stability during play.
The response is offered by Turbo Disc stickers which give a very consistent and predictable response to this beautifully crafted wooden yo-yo.
